Lions Club of Twin Rivers

The  Lions Club of Twin Rivers Inc. serves the communities of  Eagleby, Beenleigh, Mount Warren Park, Windaroo, Bahrs Scrub, Holmview and Edens Landing and surrounding districts. We help individuals in our community with mobility and medical devices, local Arts groups, school and community groups, iindividuals and anyone in need.

We also contribute to Lions Projects and Appeals, National and State Disaster Appeals, State Community Service Organisations and Medical Research.

Club History

The Club was formed in May of 2003, the minutes of the formation meeting along with the Members joining forms and the monies were forwarded to Lions Clubs International. Lions Clubs International accepted the formation minutes and members applications and the Charter was duly issued by Lions Clubs International. Thus granting the Club with a six (6) digit International number it being [ 068927 ] this number is to be displayed on all International paperwork. The Club was Chartered at a  dinner on the Saturday 23rd August 2003, the Charter was presented by District Governor Peter Dean.

It was sponsored by District 201 Q1, the Certified Guiding Lions were Reg and Merilyn Langusch

Community Service

What do we do?

Lions are people who get involved in humanitarian efforts locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • We sponsored a local girl to assist her in attending Oceania Artistic Championships 2010 in Wanganui, New Zealand.
  • We sponsored a local girl to assist her in attending the World Junior Ultimate Frisbee Championships 2010 in Heilbronn, Germany.
  • We sponsored the Under 14 Girls Logan Thunder Basketball to assist in attending Australian Club Championships to be held in Kingston, Tasmania from 27th September to 2nd October 2010.
  • We fund the yearly maintenance of a David Hart Walker for a local boy to enable him to walk.
  • We supported a team from Windaroo in the 2010 Kokoda Challange.
  • Hosted yearly Citizenship Ceremony on Australia Day
  • We provide the Lions Most Improved Student Award to 10 local schools on Awards nights.
  • We support awards for the Beenleigh Festival of One Act plays and the Beenleigh Quota Eisteddfod.
  • We have donated funds to Lions Clubs International Foundation to provide disaster relief to the people of Haiti and Chile after the earthquakes and the people of Samoa after the tsunami.
